"Let
Sleeping Dogs Lie" That’s a very interesting and very wise
saying, don’t you think? It’s one of those sayings in line
with ‘never judge a book by its cover’ or, more
appropriately, ‘never underestimate your opponent’ which,
fortunately, the South African brand of criminal seems to do
all the time. Many criminals don’t think before they act
but, then again, thinking is not exactly a criminal’s forte,
is it? Especially when it comes to choosing a victim.
Take, for instance, a single mother.
There’s a good reason why, when you visit a national park,
the game wardens tell you to stay in your vehicle. If you
were to come across lions, rhino or elephants, it’s better
not to get out of your car, not unless you wish to die a
very painful death. The problem becomes compounded if you
add cubs or calves to the mix. That animal becomes 10 times
more dangerous if it has a little one to protect.
Human mothers are the same way. They
will go to great lengths to protect their child. The
difference between a human mother and a lioness is that the
human mother doesn’t have the teeth like a lioness. In fact,
she may carry something far worse that, if you cross her or
try to endanger her child, you may get to experience
first-hand exactly what she carries. And, it could be just
as deadly as any lioness attack.
Single mothers are Africa’s most
dangerous lifeform. And, they’re not armed with teeth but
with something far worse. Think along the range of either
automatic or semi-automatic revolver or pistol. Those teeth
are fashioned from lead and they can go right through you.
And, unlike a lioness or an elephant cow, she doesn’t have
to be right next to you to ‘bite’ you. And she will do
everything in her power, go to great lengths to protect
herself and her child.
Some food for thought.
